Do you see there are more and more teen pregnancy in Texas? There are close to 100,000 unintended pregnancies a year in which 80% are teen pregnancies. This figure has triggered the alarm of every parents at home.
A lot of times, parents do not feel comfortable about teaching the kids about sex. Thus, schools are playing an important role in this part but there is lack of education about sex in school, even public. Young teenagers should get sex education that provides accurate and important information about sex and the diseases.
Looking at the schocking statistic, we really need to lower the teen pregnancies in Texas by providing sex education. We strongly support The REAL Act (Bill # HR 1653 and S 972 ).
Unprotected sex should be prevented among the teenagers.
