CHIRST, IF YOU WANT TO NAME A SCHOOL AFTER CORY CUZ YOU CAN'T GET OVER YOURSELVES, MAKE A NEW ONE. GOD KNOWS WE NEED MORE SCHOOLS HERE. IF CORY WERE STILL ALIVE, EVEN SHE'D SAY THIS IS OVERKILL
@anthony magsino: this isn't a complaint, this is a principled stand. it's not just a name change. well, for people who do not value the prestige, legacy, honor, tradition and excellence that comes with the name of the school, then yes, it's just a name change for you.
But assuming that the rest of the community are narrow-minded with this issue, still Mayor Lim cannot change the name of the school, because the name was a result of a legislative charter, not just some city mayor's declaration. If Mayor Lim wants that, he will have to initiate a legislation, which will definitely die a natural death once it reaches HOR.
