Mr Lim, you may want to consider renaming araullo high school instead. We have paid out respects to a wonderful woman by the best we can, and this is MOST ABSURD way to do it. Don\\\\\\\'t tarnish what might be left of your legacy. Wouldn\\\\\\\'t you be embarassed by the thought of all these \\\\\\\"Science High Schools\\\\\\\" that just popped out of nowhere and trying to emulate what Masci has done?..it would leave Manila without a Science High school and Paranaque has one(no pun intended to the Paranaque Residents). Sounds awful right? so as a former student, I support this petition, even if I might not be able to return to Manila again if you happen to read this post.

Well, I don't know if renaming the school would rip it of being a science high school, and for sure if everything else remains the same the students will still be as excellent as they were (even with the Automatic Admission, which I dearly do not like either).
But I still support this petition for reasons told by many before me already. I believe they outweigh what I just said above. (Sinabi ko lang yun to show that we are not closed-minded, we just believe it really isn't right.)
And Ginnie Carandang from Pisay, mabuhay ka. :)

I'm not a MaScian, and I think that President Aquino has contributed a lot for this country, but I think that this is just stupid. Renaming a prominent institution which has been known for its current name for a significant period is such a useless and insensitive act.

It is the about the institution that has molded a great part of my, your, and of others before and after us.
My brother is currently studying in MaSci. He was so proud to be following me in studying in this school. No one can put away the joy and pride of studying in MANILA SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL. But a mere change of name will ruin everything MaSci stands for.
Shoudn't my great city be proud that they have such school as MANILA SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL?
