Cory Aquino was instrumental in improving our political system but her name does not deserve to replace the prestige of Masci which has existed was before her and will stand strong as a learning institution.

We Highly respect the late President Corazon Aquino and family but the step of changing our beloved alma mater\'s name of Manila Science into Corazon Aquino High School does not sound good at all and the very Purpose and Significance of the institution that the Name stands for won\'t be synonymous at all. Corazon Aquino stands for Political Democracy but Manila Science from the past years had been standing for its deserving students as the epitome and foundation in the field of Math and Science in the secondary school division. I don\'t have anything against Corazon Aquino for her name does not bear the essence that Manila Science High School stands for. COME ON MASCIAN\'S LET\"S SUPPORT THIS PETITION!!!!

Not because it is my alma matter, but because the name Manila Science is almost synonymous to excellence in the field of math and sciences. Thus it becomes aspirational and a sense of pride for parents to have their children graduate from this school. CHANGE THE NAME, THEN YOU CHANGE THE VERY ESSENCE IT STANDS FOR!!!!

We have paid out respects to a wonderful woman by the best we can, and this is MOST ABSURD way to do it. Don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t tarnish what might be left of your legacy. Wouldn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t you be embarassed by the thought of all these \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Science High Schools\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" that just popped out of nowhere and trying to emulate what Masci has done?..it would leave Manila without a Science High school and Paranaque has one(no pun intended to the Paranaque Residents). Sounds awful right? so as a former student, I support this petition, even if I might not be able to return to Manila again if you happen to read this post.
