About 3.5 million Americans or 1% of the population, including 1.35 million children are still homeless according to the Urban Institute. It is disheartening to know that such a huge number of the citizens spend nights in the cold and have no place to call home.
I am posting this petition to push the government to look into this issue more seriously. The government spends billions of dollars on wasteful projects while its people survive in very harsh and inhumane conditions. Its time we focused on our country and making life better for all of us.
This is a very noble course and I am asking for all the support I can get.
