The Nyeri Education Office in Kenya has decided to close 3 local schools in Mathira Area this June. Their decision is based on the economy and their belief that enrollment in the schools will decrease in the upcoming years because not enough families will be able to afford the tuitions.

However, we feel that by doing this, many children will be forced to go to school away from home and seeing that these children walk daily to school, this will only affect their education negatively.

We reject this move.
